The hippy house was built on a generous friend's land way out in the country outside of Gainesville Florida. I lived there for a few years during the mid 70s. Sometimes I would go in to town for a bit to visit with friends. At times there were some other hippy folks living on that land too, the world's smallest hippy commune. :-)
Your question about food is a good one! I don't quite remember. My friend had a mobile home with a kitchen on the property, so that's probably part of the answer. I think I had a little portable burner thing like campers would use. The whole thing was really just a step up from camping in a tent.
