I think this is my first encounter with AI fiction. Then again, who knows the true source of everything I read these days.

Fascinating experiment & engaging story. I especially enjoyed the images. The one outside the Hippy Haven Clinic ("... hippy men, initially rejuvenated and full of spirit, now face the challenge of losing the haven they've come to cherish...) made me think of Being John Malkovich; everyone looks the same, which has its own poetic power. ...

Question: Can you take an AI-generated image, and then reprocess it with additional prompts? "Same image, but make all the faces different."

This branch of AI is amazing and terrifying at the same time.

Hi Alan, thanks for your interest.

Yes, the images produced by ChatGPT/Dalle are great, I'm a big fan too. You can indeed edit the images, just as you suggest.

Another thing you can do is take a paragraph out of the story and use it as a prompt, something like this: "Create an image to match the following description" Dalle seems remarkably good at this.

In the latest story just published today I learned how to keep the look of a character consistent throughout the story, which I hadn't yet learned when making this story.

If you haven't done so yet, you may wish to experiment with the free version of ChatGPT. It can't create images, but you can get a feel for the system and create some stories.
